A resale 3BHK apartment for a family of four, transformed from an overly decorated interior into a clean, warm and composed home.
The approach was to make only the changes that mattered. Essential civil modifications were made to bring together the functional and aesthetic requirements, including the reworking of all three bathrooms and basic changes to the kitchen. Existing furniture was retained where appropriate, with its surface treatment renewed to work with the new design language.
A restrained palette of wood, veneers, white, beige and warm neutral tones brings a sense of continuity across the home. Select pieces, such as the study table, were customized to respond to the family’s needs and integrate naturally with the spaces.
The terrace became an important extension of the home. As a family that enjoys hosting friends and relatives, a dining area was introduced to connect naturally with the kitchen, allowing the two spaces to work together during gatherings and creating an easy setting for meals and conversations.
The project demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform an existing home through selective intervention — making the most of what is already there while creating a space that feels fresh, warm and suited to the way the family lives.
